I really enjoyed this piece and could relate to it on many levels. I was raised Protestant and also started to question the religious life, beginning in my early twenties. Saying that, I admired many of the people from my church and the positive impression they left on me. But at the same time, I felt I needed to leave it to ask questions, live life and decide things for myself.

You’ve so perfectly put into words exactly what I feel when it comes to religion and spirituality.
