Great recommendations! I've heard a lot about Dune and The House in the Cerulean Sea but I'm checking out all these books.

My favourite fall read has to be between The Blacksmith Queen (fantasy) and The Near Witch (fantasy/paranormal). The Near Witch especially sets the mood for autumn with its descriptions of the windy moors.
