On top of period poverty and period shame, we should also be aiming to solve period waste too. Throwing a period glove/bag in the garbage just adds to our landfills, so this is another way that the product is actually creating more problems rather than solving them. Why create more waste when women can simply wash their hands?

It also seems they didn't do their research or listen to their customers. As a case in point, more women use and want eco-friendly options now like menstrual cups and reusable cotton pads. These make for cleaner periods in many ways, both for women and the planet.

The reasons for creating this product may have been well-intentioned but I can certainly see why it wasn't received well. Creating a product that resembles a dog poop bag for women is extremely insulting.
