This makes me miss the days before BookTok, when you’d walk through a bookstore, browse through a few books and pick the one whose story called to you. I think it’s great that Gen Z are reading and that books are getting hype through BookTok, but it does limit books to a very narrow and specific vacuum. Thanks for sharing this enlightening piece!
